State of The Union Media Bias
Politico critiques the State of the Union by highlighting the faults in Obama's political facts. Throughout the article, Politico quotes Obama with an opposing opinion, such as Obama's speech on the Afghanistan War. If one hasn't done their accurate research on political facts, the article will easily persuade one to believe that Obama has been feeding us lies; the negative aspect of this article definitely outweighs the positive. However, the webpage does give Obama a bit of a break by agreeing to five percent of what he had to say. Journalist, Soopermexican, supports Politico's article, stating that the media only wants to support an agenda.
Opposed to Politico's constant shots at Obama, USA Today blames the republicans for many of the facts that Obama mentioned. The article is so bias that it sounds as if someone paid USA TODAY to uphold Obama's plans and mock the republican's anger toward Obama. One of TODAY's journalists, Ryan Carey-Mahoney, praised Obama through his tweets which made Carey-Mahoney sound like a cheerleader for the Democrats.
